Novation Launchkey 49 MK4 — DAW Controller with Deep Software Integration

The Novation Launchkey 49 MK4 is a 49-key USB MIDI controller built for hands-on DAW production. Four octaves of semi-weighted, waterfall-style keys pair with custom DAW scripts for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, and Ardour, so transport, mixer, and plugin controls activate instantly over USB-C.

Built-In Creative Engine

A generative arpeggiator with an 8-step editor, Mutate, and Deviate functions builds evolving patterns without opening a sequencer. Scale Mode locks the keybed to one of 30 scales, while Chord Map and Fixed Chord modes let a single key trigger full progressions, with the chord name shown on the OLED display.

Keybed and Playing Surface

The semi-weighted keybed spans four octaves with pitch bend and modulation wheels mounted above the keys for a compact footprint.
