Milan Dvořák

Milan Dvořák, born in 1934 in Prostějov, is a renowned Czech composer and pianist with a focus on jazz, pop, and chanson. He is the author of music for numerous films, including comedies by Petr Schulhoff and Vláčil's "Pasáček z doliny", as well as a wide range of songs, orchestral works, and jazz etudes. Dvořák led Hana Hegerová's accompanying band from 1965 to 1990, played piano for Eva Pilarová and Eva Kriz, and is a longtime member of the Swing Quartet Prague. He also teaches composition at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. His brother is musician Zdeněk "Sarka" Dvořák. In 2012, a documentary titled "Život mezi notami" was made about his life.
