The ART S8 is an 8-channel passive microphone splitter built for situations where one mic signal needs to reach two mixers at the same time. Housed in a single 1U rack enclosure measuring 483 × 44 × 95 mm and weighing 1.7 kg, it gives touring bands, houses of worship, and recording crews a clean way to feed a front-of-house desk and a separate monitor or DAW simultaneously. Because the design is fully passive, the unit needs no power source, phantom power for condenser microphones passes straight through the direct outputs to the mic, and reversible rack ears let the chassis face either forward or backward in any rack layout.

• Each channel feeds a single mic input through one direct XLR and one transformer-isolated XLR for a total arrangement of 8 channels × 2 outputs each (16 total) across the rack.
• Ground lift: switchable on every isolated output to eliminate ground-loop hum between AC-powered mixers.
• Input pad switch on each channel accommodates line-level sources such as keyboards and instrument preamps alongside standard mic-level signals.
• Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz at ±0.25 dB, with CMRR above 105 dB at 60 Hz for clean rejection of stage interference.
