Warlock was a German heavy metal band formed in Düsseldorf in 1982 by members of the underground bands Snakebite and Beast. The group rose to prominence in the mid-1980s, fueled by the dynamic presence of vocalist Doro Pesch. Warlock toured with major acts like W A S P, Judas Priest, Dio, and Megadeth, gaining a dedicated following in Europe. By the late 1980s, Doro Pesch was the only original member remaining, leading to the band’s transition to the name Doro due to legal reasons. Songs from the Warlock era remain a staple in Doro’s live performances, and since 2003, the group has occasionally reunited as Warlock 1986 for special events and festivals.
