The Imperial All-Tube Preamp pedal brings the Tone King MKII amplifier’s legendary '50s tweed, '60s blackface, and vintage British rock tones in a compact, pedalboard-friendly design. It features the same preamp and phase inverter circuitry, Reverb, Tremolo, and Attenuation. Powered by three 12AX7 tubes, it delivers the amp’s rich, dynamic sound. Additionally, it includes low-latency IR loading, headphone output, and MIDI control for easy integration with your gear.

Legendary Vintage Tube Amp Tones

The pedal features two channels: the Rhythm Channel with clean, touch-sensitive '60s blackface tones and smooth overdrive, and the Lead Channel inspired by '50s tweed amps, offering both warm cleans and aggressive midrange. The Mid-Bite control focuses the low end, adding presence and gain for a British-style rock crunch.

Built-In Zero Watt Poweramp

Using the phase inverter circuitry of the MKII amp, the pedal’s “zero watt poweramp” reproduces the dynamic harmonic content of the Tone King poweramp, delivering the complete MKII experience right on your pedalboard.

Stereo Spring Reverb & Tremolo

The Imperial Preamp Pedal includes foot-switchable spring reverb and tremolo, assignable to each channel. These effects, a signature of the MKII, add dimension and movement to both clean and overdriven tones.

Impulse Response (IR) & Cabinet Sim

With low-latency IR and power amp simulation, the pedal delivers authentic tube tones directly to your interface. It includes 15 OwnHammer IRs, with three per channel, easily selectable via toggle switches. The Tone King Editor software provides additional IRs, and you can load your own.

Tone King Editor Software and MIDI Control

The software allows fine-tuning of digitally controlled parameters like reverb, tremolo, and IRs. It lets you save settings in up to 128 MIDI presets for quick access, enhancing control and customization. With full MIDI compatibility, the Imperial Preamp Pedal lets you recall presets instantly using a MIDI controller or laptop, offering modern control alongside classic tube tone.

The pedal can integrate with any amp with a series effects loop using a simple 3-cable connection. It adds its two channels, stereo effects loop, and onboard IRs to your setup, and you can assign its effects to other preamp pedals.
