Smoove & Turrell are a British band from Gateshead in the North East of England, known for their dynamic blend of funk, soul, northern soul, hip-hop, and electronica—a sound they call Northern Funk. Led by Jonathan Scott Watson and John Turrell, the group’s energetic live shows and driving rhythms have made them favorites in the modern soul and funk scene. Their lineup features Mike Porter on keyboards, Lloyd Wright on guitar, Neil Harland on bass, and Oscar Cassidy on drums.
