Reverse wound-reverse polarity version of Seymour Duncan’s heaviest hitting Stratocaster single coil pickup that provides noiseless operation in positions 2 and 4 when combined with the neck or bridge SSL-4 pickups. It uses the same hand polished diameter alnico 5 rod magnets and high output coil winding as the standard version. On its own, this pickup will provide the same pounding tone that you get from the standard wound model. The pickup bobbins are hand built, dipped in lacquer then wound and wax potted for squeal free performance. Modern oval Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) is used which enables this pickup to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.
