Sela Harmony D Kurd 10+3 Handpan-rumpu

D Kurd Handpan with Extended Range and Stainless Steel Resonance

The Sela Harmony Handpan D Kurd 10+3 is a handcrafted percussion instrument built from two hand-hammered stainless steel bowls joined to form a resonant shell. Tuned to A=440 Hz in the popular D Kurd scale, this model features 10 tone fields on the top playing surface plus 3 additional bottom notes, giving players an unusually wide melodic range for a handpan at this tier. The diatonic minor scale opens up everything from soothing lullabies to driving percussive patterns.

What Sets This Handpan Apart

Unlike entry-level steel tongue drums, this instrument is built from two separate stainless steel bowls that are completely hand-hammered and held together with rubber strips along the seam. A resonance opening on the underside lets the air column breathe, producing the long, clean sustain and smooth decay that handpan players look for. Corrosion-resistant stainless steel shrugs off humidity and temperature swings, keeping its tone through years of outdoor play.

Who This Handpan Is For

The Sela Harmony Handpan D Kurd 10+3 is the right choice for intermediate and advanced players who want a hand-hammered stainless steel instrument with an extended 10+3 note layout rather than the standard 9-note configuration. Beginners will also find the intuitive note layout approachable, since the diatonic D Kurd scale contains no awkward intervals. Sound healers, yoga instructors, and outdoor musicians benefit from the corrosion-resistant build and the included padded gig bag, while melody-focused players gain extra compositional freedom from the three bottom notes.
