Known for their lush soundscapes and atmospheric style, they became key figures in the early 1990s UK shoegaze movement with albums like Just for a Day and Souvlaki. After disbanding in 1995 following their third album, Pygmalion, members pursued other projects before reuniting in 2014. Their self-titled return in 2017 and the acclaimed Everything Is Alive in 2023 cemented their lasting influence, with the latter earning top ten chart positions in multiple countries.
