Para is a Slovak pop-rock band from Bratislava, founded by guitarist Matej Starkov and bassist and vocalist Matúš Vallo. With nearly 30 years on the music scene, the band has released six albums and two DVDs, producing well-known songs like Abstinent and Otec. Para is recognized as one of Slovakia’s top live acts, performing regularly at major festivals including Pohoda, Grape, and Žákovic Open, as well as student events and club tours across the country. Over the years, they have collaborated with artists such as AMO, Jana Kirschner, and Sendreiovci. In 2019, they launched the Našou krajinou tour across Slovakia and the Czech Republic to mark the release of their new album.
