Jun Seba, known professionally as Nujabes, was a Japanese producer, DJ, and composer celebrated for his unique blend of hip hop, jazz, and soul, often infused with elements of trip hop and ambient music. As the founder of Hydeout Productions, Nujabes released influential albums such as Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul, and contributed to the acclaimed soundtrack of the anime Samurai Champloo. Though his work was relatively underground during his life, he has since become a highly influential figure and is often hailed as a pioneer of lo-fi hip hop. Nujabes passed away in 2010, but his atmospheric and soulful sound continues to inspire artists worldwide.
