Maybach Albatroz '65-2 Dark Wine Red – Lightweight Double-Cut with Two Humbuckers

The Maybach Albatroz '65-2 Dark Wine Red is a handcrafted double-cut electric guitar in the spirit of the stripped-down mid-1960s models: quality woods, no frills and a comfortable, grippy 65-style neck. The mahogany body in Dark Wine Red aged nitrocellulose is light on the shoulder, and two Amber Spirit of 59 humbuckers give it a full, classic voice with plenty of detail.

Body and Finish

The double-cut solid mahogany body is the classic basis for a warm, punchy tone with strong mids, and the deep cutaways give free access to the upper frets. The aged nitrocellulose lacquer is thin, lets the wood resonate and gives the guitar the look of a well-played vintage instrument.

Neck and Fingerboard

The glued-in solid mahogany neck carries a bone nut and Wagner medium-jumbo frets that make bending easy and give clean articulation. The 628 mm scale and 12" radius offer the familiar feel of classic set-neck guitars for both chords and lead playing.
