Kreator
Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen, founded in 1982. Known as one of the pioneers of Teutonic thrash metal, Kreator has played a major role in shaping the German metal scene and influencing death and black metal. The band’s current lineup features Miland Mille Petrozza on vocals and guitar, Jürgen Ventor Reil on drums, Sami Yli-Sirniö on lead guitar, and Frédéric Leclercq on bass. Over more than four decades, the group has seen several lineup changes, with Petrozza and Reil as the longest-standing members.
Kreator’s early albums, especially Pleasure to Kill, helped the band gain a dedicated international following. Later albums like Phantom Antichrist and Gods of Violence brought greater mainstream success, with Gods of Violence topping the German charts. To date, Kreator has released fifteen studio albums and sold over two million records worldwide, making them one of Germany’s best-selling thrash metal acts. The band remains active, with Hate Über Alles released in 2022 and new material currently in the works.
