Contact clip-on microphone with piezo element that is designed specifically for tuners, and can be attached to the bell of a brass instrument, the bridge of a violin, or even to a guitar or ukulele. It directly captures the vibrations and sends them to the tuner, and is perfect in situations where the microphone built into the tuner might have difficulties detecting the sound.
