Matias Aguayo is a Chilean-German techno producer and DJ known for his innovative approach to electronic music. Born in Santiago and raised in Germany, he began his career with the Zimt project alongside Michael Mayer, releasing his first single in 1997. He later co-founded the influential duo Closer Musik before launching his solo career in 2004 with the album Are You Really Lost. Aguayo is also recognized for organizing the Bumbumbox street parties in South America and co-founding the label Cómeme, which highlights South American electronic artists.
