Jimmy Buffett (1946–2023) was an American singer-songwriter, author, and entrepreneur, best known for his signature tropical rock style and laid-back "island escapism" persona. He created timeless songs like "Margaritaville," "Come Monday," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," and "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes." Buffett released over 30 albums, earning multiple gold and platinum certifications and selling more than 20 million records worldwide. He formed the Coral Reefer Band in 1975 and inspired a loyal fan community known as Parrotheads. Beyond music, Buffett built a successful business empire, including the Margaritaville restaurant chain and ventures in hospitality and lifestyle brands. He was also a bestselling author.
