Christine McVie was an English musician best known as the keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter for Fleetwood Mac. Starting her career in the British blues scene with the band Chicken Shack, she joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970 and became a key creative force, penning many of their signature songs such as Say You Love Me, Don't Stop, Everywhere, and Little Lies. Her smooth contralto voice and songwriting helped drive the band's global success. Over her career, McVie released several solo albums and collaborated with Lindsey Buckingham. She received numerous honours, including two Grammy Awards, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. After briefly retiring in 1998, she returned to Fleetwood Mac in 2014, cementing her legacy as one of rock music's most influential artists.
