Bad News is a fictional English heavy metal band originally formed for the Channel 4 comedy series The Comic Strip Presents. Featuring characters played by Ade Edmondson, Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer, and Peter Richardson, the band blended parody and music, eventually performing live shows in character. Bad News released a self-titled album in 1987 and gained chart success with their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.
