Anaïs Mitchell is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and playwright known for her evocative storytelling and innovative approach to folk and theater. She has released eight studio albums, including Hadestown, Young Man in America, Child Ballads, and her self-titled album Anaïs Mitchell. Mitchell transformed her album Hadestown into a Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical, earning acclaim for her songwriting and originality.
