Zoom F2 Kannettava digitaalinen tallennin

32-Bit Float Field Recording in a Pocket-Sized Body

The Zoom F2 is an ultra-compact portable field recorder designed for situations where audio levels cannot be predicted in advance. Its 32-bit float recording engine captures the full dynamic range of speech, from a whispered interview to a shouted question, without ever clipping. This model is the right choice for solo creators who need a recorder that cannot fail in the field.

What Sets This Recorder Apart

Unlike traditional recorders that demand constant gain tweaking, the F2 uses a dual AD converter and removes the input level control entirely. A high-precision internal clock rated at ±0.5 ppm keeps audio aligned with camera footage, while the Rec Hold switch prevents accidental button presses. The included LMF-2 lavalier microphone features a recessed mesh diaphragm that reduces wind and handling noise.

Recording Engine and Connectivity

The unit writes uncompressed mono WAV files at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz in 32-bit float, with BWF timestamping. Files land on microSD or microSDHC media up to 512 GB, giving roughly 23 hours of 32-bit audio on a 16 GB card. Power comes from two AAA cells for up to 15 hours, with USB-C file transfer and the F2 Editor software.

• Two AAA batteries deliver up to 15 hours, with swappable cells that keep shoots running

Built for Solo Filmmakers, Journalists, and Wedding Videographers

The F2 suits any creator who needs a backup audio track that cannot fail. Documentary shooters clip it to a subject and walk away, knowing the recorder keeps capturing all day on AAAs. Wedding videographers benefit from the 80 Hz low-cut filter that tames rumble during ceremonies, while podcasters gain a clip-on recorder for remote guest interviews.
