The gold bass bell with 243mm diameter offers a warm sound with superior focus when compared to larger bells. Thumb and forefinger double trigger setup is durable and identical to higher priced models. The large, easy-to-hold, nickel-silver bracing of the instrument guards against possible slide damage if the instrument is dropped and also lessens fatigue while playing, while the unique slide lock design keeps the slide locked in place and keeps it from accidentally falling. The chrome-plated inner slide is very durable and has a quick, sensitive response. The one-piece, drawn, nickel-silver outer slide maintains an accurate diameter throughout its length, and this type of construction ensures air-tightness, smooth action, and offers exceptional durability and improved response. Specially designed, one-piece, inner slide stockings guarantee airtight slide construction, and offer smoother slide action and better alignment, even in the extended 6th and 7th positions. Long-lasting nickel-silver tubular braces contribute to the stability of the slide and enhance smooth slide action, while perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance. The trombone further features a laser-fused pluzuma welded bell for a virtually seamless bell which allows continuous even vibrations and a mouthpipe that features special acoustic designs allowing for precise intonation and greater blowing control. Hand-lapped valves and tuning slides ensure an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.
