Combining the same intuitive control surface and processing power as the DM3, the Yamaha DM3S targets studio recording, content creation, and live streaming where Dante network audio is not required. Its 9-inch multi-touch screen and nine motorized faders with "Turn & Touch" encoder deliver the same professional workflow, while the included Steinberg Cubase AI and VST Rack Elements software make it a complete production package out of the box.

Input and Output Configuration

Twelve XLR and four XLR/TRS combo connectors accept up to 16 microphone or line-level signals, with 8 balanced XLR outputs handling the mix. The 18 × 18 USB 2.0 audio interface — operating at 48 kHz or 96 kHz — turns the DM3S into a direct multitrack recorder without any additional hardware.

Processing Architecture

The bus layout mirrors the DM3: 1 Stereo, 6 Mix, 2 FX, and 2 Matrix buses, supporting Input-to-Matrix routing. Eighteen selectable effects cover reverb, delay, modulation, and more, while graphic EQs on Mix 1–6 and the Stereo bus provide precise tonal shaping.

QuickPro Presets

An extensive QuickPro preset library includes ready-made settings for popular microphones from Neumann, AKG, Shure, and other manufacturers, as well as output device configurations — dramatically reducing sound check time at any venue.

Network and Storage

An RJ-45 network port enables remote control from a tablet or computer. A USB Type-A port supports direct recording to flash drives or SSDs. Freely assignable Omni Out connectors add routing flexibility for monitor feeds or broadcast sends.
