White Lies are an English indie rock band from Ealing, London, formed in October 2007. The group consists of Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave, and Jack Lawrence-Brown, with Tommy Bowen joining them for live performances. Originally known as Fear of Flying, they changed direction with a darker sound that quickly gained attention. After generating early buzz, they signed with Fiction Records and achieved UK chart success with their debut album To Lose My Life in 2009. Known for their anthemic and atmospheric style, White Lies have released six studio albums, including Ritual, Big TV, Friends, Five, and As I Try Not to Fall Apart. Their music has led to major tours, festival appearances, and recognition as one of the UK's notable modern rock acts.
