14” x 5.5” snare drum from STAR series that is made with maple shell that features a 1mm outer ply made of Sycamore laminate, and the Sound Focus Ring. The 5mm shell is made by pressing a 2mm layer of solid maple between two 1.5mm laminated maple layers. That is also a reason why, apart from the traditional clear and open sound of maple snares, it provides rich dynamics and warm sound character. The drum also features die-cast hoops, 8 specially designed STAR lugs and three air holes.
