The S2 Vela model is PRS’s first guitar featuring an offset body shape, designed for players who appreciate the classic PRS tone and playability while valuing elegant vintage aesthetics and feel. The mahogany body of the S2 Vela Black is finished with a glossy nitro lacquer. The mahogany neck with a comfortable Pattern Regular profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and PRS’s signature bird inlays, aiding quick navigation on the neck.

The guitar’s tonal palette is shaped by a PRS DS-01 humbucker at the bridge and a PRS Narrowfield pickup at the neck. The Narrowfield, in a compact double-coil design, combines the best characteristics of humbuckers, single-coils, and P-90s, delivering a clear, punchy tone with excellent articulation across various genres.
