The fresh design of the DDJ-FLX6-GT brings a new look and feel to the full-size yoga wheels, graphite color and metallic texture on the top side, and a rubberized surface on the outer ring for improved playability. The new device adds support for VirtualDJ (license available separately) and retains free compatibility with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro. TRAKTOR PRO 3 can be used after downloading its mapping files.

The layout of the controls on the DDJ-FLX6-GT is the same as on its predecessor and matches the standard CDJ + DJM club setup, so you can play intuitively.

VirtualDJ is compatible with the updated unit (licenses available separately), which also offers free use of the rekordbox Core and Serato DJ Pro plans. The DJ controller also comes with license keys for the Serato FX Pack, Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Packs and TRAKTOR PRO 3 TSI file to be released.
Thanks to the built-in sound card, just connect the DDJ-FLX6-GT via USB cable to a laptop running compatible software and you can start DJ-ing right away.

Add drama to your sets and mix a variety of musical styles with ease. No matter what the BPM or key of the next track, you can create an exciting transition whenever you want. Simply press the Merge FX knob and turn it as fast or slow as you like to start building tension in your music.

• Choose one of the 4 assigned Merge FX patterns and press the knob to start building tension.
• Increase the impact of the effect by simply turning the knob - depending on the preset pattern you've selected, a combination of different effects and samples will be triggered at the same time.
• When you're ready to do a drop and move on to the next track, simply press the knob again. The effect will release, and if there is a sample assigned in the preset, it will play. The track will automatically stop, so just press the play button on the second deck to drop the next track.
• In the new Merge FX section of rekordbox (PC/Mac), you can customize the different effect types and samples used in each patter to create your own variations. Choose from 41 effect types for each element (Build FX, Build Sample, Release FX and Drop Sample) and combine them to create over 9,000 different patterns.

Turn on the Jog Cutter function and, with a simple move of the jog wheel, apply a professional-sounding scratch effect to the last Hot Cue or Playback position you used on that deck. There are 10 different scratch patterns available, and you can switch from one to the next by simply moving the position of the playhead, which appears on the jog wheel display, to point towards the angle for the scratch you want to use.

Pitch bending and scratching is natural thanks to the large jog wheels, which are the same size as the wheels on the flagship CDJ-3000 multiplayer. Each also features an On Jog Display so you can keep track of the position of the playhead.
Sample Scratch is a brand new pad mode in the rekordbox that lets you select the sounds you've assigned to the sampler and load them onto the decks. So when you want to create a live remix of a song or simply add some texture to your music, you can scratch using your favorite sounds.
