Technical features such as backpack-compatible front pockets, bonded frame and gap-closing thumb loops make no-frills FLEECE LIGHT HOODY an ideal second layer – for all seasons. Fine Tasmanian merino wool and inner waffle structure ensure good moisture wicking and feel dry on the skin during arduous activities. The material is also extremely breathable, quick drying and highly stretchable. The outside is smooth, so the material provides less contact surface.

In addition, the FLEECE LIGHT HOODY has a full-length zip and two front pockets that provide plenty of room for cold hands or small essentials. The sleeves are held by two thumb loops that will warm your pulse and perfectly seal any gaps.

MERINO FLEECE LIGHT

In the MERINO FLEECE line, ORTOVOX uses the finest merino wool on the inside together with polyester on the outside. Elastane is also used to make the material elastic. This makes the line very stretchy and durable, while napped merino wool provides an excellent microclimate and breathability.

The ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE (OWP)

Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. The merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with own wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from verfied and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature. It is also easy to care for and, thanks to its antibacterial effect, odor neutralizing.
