Moondrop Rays — Hybrid Gaming IEM with USB-C DSP

The Moondrop Rays is a wired in-ear monitor built for gaming, part of the MOONDROP Gravity Pro Gaming series. It combines Moondrop's Hi-Fi acoustic tuning with a Hi-Fi class game sound card on a USB-C cable, so it connects directly to a computer or phone with a USB-C port, while the included USB-C to USB-A extension cable covers computers with USB-A ports. The result is a single IEM for competitive play, voice chat and music.

What Sets the Rays Apart

The driver configuration pairs a 10 mm sapphire-plated diaphragm dynamic driver with a 6 mm annular planar magnetic driver. Moondrop tuned it for both Hi-Fi listening and gaming, aligned with its VDSF target response and with ultra-low nonlinear distortion across the full signal chain, aiming for clearer imaging, more accurate positioning and a richer spatial presentation. The cavity is ergonomically designed and 3D-printed from medical-grade material.

Tuning Software and Microphone

Sound is shaped with visual multi-point parametric tuning in the MOONDROP Link app or in the MOONDROP online equalizer. One-click EQ and one-button switching between profiles make quick changes easy, and a built-in community lets users share and download tunes, including tunes fine-tuned with e-sports players. The built-in DSP stores the tuning in memory. For communication, the microphone uses hardware-level AI noise cancellation with an embedded NPU.
