Advanced 88-key stage piano from FORTE series that offers 16 GB of sounds, including the hand-selected German and vintage Japanese concert grand pianos, as well as new Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clav, Harpsichord, Orchestral Percussion, Celeste, Glockenspiel, Chimes, Bells and Crotales along with a wide selection of sounds from the acclaimed PC3 and KORE 64 expansion, all delivered with unprecedented expressiveness and an obsessive attention to detail. It also offers the KB3 ToneReal Organs, modelled after classic Hammond, Vox and Farfisa organs, and all the necessary controls, including 9 realistic drawbars. The KB3 is Polyphony Free, so it does not use any of the piano’s 128 voices. The patented FlashPlay Technology provides it with a staggering amount of horse- power, 16GB sample content with zero-loading time, heaping mounds of powerful DSP and ultra-fast performance. The 3.3 GB of user sample memory supports a variety of formats including WAS, AIFF (up to16-bit/96 kHz) and Kurzweil formats. The piano provides a full access to Kurzweil’s legendary Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology (V.A.S.T.) directly from the front panel. With 32-layers per program, each offering its own signal path and a host of modular DSP tools, it offers a wealth of sound creation and modification that is truly immense. The powerful FX engine offers award-winning reverbs, delays, choruses, flangers, phasers, distortions, rotary amplifiers, compressors and more – all fully editable from the user-interface. The piano features the 88-note Italian fully-weighted hammer-action keyboard with aftertouch and the K.S.R. – Kurzweil String Resonance modelling for enhanced acoustic piano performance. It also provides 16 arpeggiators (1 per program, 16 per multi), Live Audio Input for external music player with its own dedicated real-time FX, front-panel Master Compressor and 3-band EQ. It can be controlled via 23 programmable physical controllers including 9 sliders (with brilliant LED ladders), 6 switches, 2 wheels, 3 switch pedal Inputs (which support half-damper for pianos), 2 continuous control pedal Inputs and aftertouch. Dedicated -/+ Transpose, Tap Tempo and sound Variation controls are conveniently located right above the Pitch/Modulation wheels. Other features include a widescreen colour display, easy Category and Program/Multi selection with customizable defaults and the 'Surf-n-Select' navigation that allows for searching for and pre-selecting the next Program/Multi without interrupting the current selection.
