The third generation of the Varia cyklo cycling radar for safer driving on the road. Active cycling radar alerts you to vehicles approaching from behind and at the same time starts signaling your presence on the road to an oncoming vehicle. The reversing safety (red) LED light ensures sufficient visibility and the approaching vehicle warns of your presence by changing the light intensity (flashing). The Varia cycle radar is a solution for better safety for cyclists when driving on ordinary roads, where there are frequent accidents caused by a rear-end collision. Varia ™ can register and alert riders to approaching vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters. As part of the settings, the connected unit triggers an alarm (audible warning) as soon as the vehicle is registered. Varia ™ also detects the speed of the vehicle and if it approaches too fast, the display turns red and the LED backlight changes (increases) the intensity (flashes).
The new generation Varia-RTL515 is additionally equipped with a Bluetooth interface for connecting and using functions with a smartphone and the new Varia App. The design of the bicycle mounting bracket has also been improved, which includes an adapter for various shapes / profiles of seatposts - from the standard round to the AERO profile. The new Varia-RTL515 model also supports several profiles for optimal use, e.g. The radar will reduce the light intensity when flashing on an approaching vehicle so that you do not blind your passengers in the pellet.
