FiiO has released a completely new variant of ESS DAC for its flagship K9 Pro Desktop all-in-one DAC / AMP - FiiO K9 Pro ESS. While the OG K9 Pro was designed with the AKM AK4499 DAC chip, the limited availability of the AKM DAC in this industry has led FiiO to design another variant with a different DAC architecture. FiiO designed this new K9 Pro ESS with a dual DAC chipset with two high-performance ES9038 Pro flagship DAC chips. The ES9038Pro is a high-profile 8-channel DAC that delivers unmatched performance with the best distortion and SNR ratings. Originally, the K9 Pro had one AK4499 DAC chip (of course due to limited availability), but the new K9 Pro ESS is designed with a Dual DAC chipset for better resolution and flagship performance. FiiO designed the K9 Pro with the THX AAA desktop amplifier chipset. It consists of two THX AAA-78 amplifiers + chips for a clean and powerful output stage.

MQA, Master Quality Authenticated is the latest technology to achieve high-resolution performance at small file sizes. K9 Pro ESS supports the full development of MQA, which allows users to listen to true masterful quality performance as intended by the artist during recording. In addition to this support, the K9 Pro High Definition MQA also supports 32-bit / 384 kHz high definition PCM as well as DSD256 native decoding.

The FiiO K9 Pro ESS features the latest Bluetooth QC5124 processor chip from Qualcomm. It not only provides a stable and reliable Bluetooth connection, but also provides support for high-definition wireless codecs, including LDAC, APTX HD, AptX Adaptive, and more.
