Phosphor Bronze Single String for Acoustic Guitar

The D'Addario PB035 is a single replacement string designed for acoustic guitar, wound from phosphor bronze over a hex-shaped steel core. At .035" gauge (0.89 mm), it sits in the mid-range of the phosphor bronze wound singles lineup, which spans from .017 to .076. This string works as a standalone replacement for a broken or worn mid-range string, or as a building block for a custom gauge combination tailored to a player's exact preferences. Pioneered in 1974, D'Addario's phosphor bronze formula has become synonymous with warm, well-balanced acoustic tone, and the PB035 carries that character in a single-string format.

Who This String Is For

The PB035 is the right choice for acoustic guitarists who need a single replacement string at .035" gauge without buying a full set. It suits players who want to mix gauges for a custom tension feel, or those whose guitar has a worn mid-range string that needs swapping without replacing the others. The .035" gauge is commonly used as a G or B string position on lighter custom sets, making it a practical option for fingerstyle players and strummers who prefer tailored string tensions. All D'Addario strings are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at the company's New York production facility.
