ACADEMY Grade 5 is an ultralight children's bicycle designed for children from 7 to 11 years old with a height of 130 - 145 cm. The aluminum 24'' bike weighs only 8.2 kg and is among the lightest in its category. The stylish and ergonomic design is attractive to both girls and boys.

• The bikes were designed by the German company S'COOL in cooperation with the German Institute for Orthopaedics, Osteopathy and Sports Medicine. The Q-factor describes the overall width of the cranks and is important when it comes to the efficiency of the pedaling. The Q-factor should match the rider's step width (the legs are not into an A-position when pedaling) for more power and efficiency. The weight of the bicycles for all models is 40 % less than a normal child's body weight.
• SUPERLIGHT wheels and high-quality VEE TIRE Rail tires complete the bike and ensure maximum comfort. The bike is equipped with an 8-speed Shimano Claris derailleur, an intuitive DUAL CONTROL shift lever and 3-finger ALLOY brake levers for child-sized hands. The maximum weight of the rider is up to 80 kg.

Under the direction of Dr. Andreas Elsner has succeeded in developing ultra-light junior bikes that meet the latest ergonomic requirements. Comfort and ergonomics are ensured thanks to deep and narrow bottom bracket to optimalize movement and ergonomics. Short cranks and the upright sitting position make it possible to put feet on the ground at any time and still ensure an ergonomic knee position while driving. The shaping of the frame is adapted for children for easier get on the bike.
