Compact Snare Stand for Smaller Drums

The Yamaha SS62 snare stand is built around a compact basket sized for 12-inch and smaller diameter snare drums. Its single-braced steel legs keep the footprint small enough for tight kit layouts, junior drum kits, or side-stage percussion setups where a full-size stand would be overkill. The 430 mm to 590 mm height range covers both seated practice and standing performance positions.

What makes it work

The Step Free Tilter removes the usual notched angle stops, so the basket glides into any angle and locks with the ergonomic Snare Basket Adjustment Knob. Tone-Enhancing Basket Rubber sits between the basket arms and the drum shell, flexing on impact to keep vibration from bleeding into the stand, so the snare rings out with more low-end sustain and a clearer core tone. Spiked feet keep the stand planted on carpet or hard floors.
