The Warm Audio Peach Fuzz is a guitar effect pedal for players who want the heavy fuzz sound of the 1970s combined with an octave effect for solos, riffs and studio work. It was voiced together with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and is based on a classic Foxy-style fuzz concept, extended with more practical control over the octave-up function.

Octave-Up on Demand

The octave-up section can be switched on permanently or used in momentary Hold mode. This lets you keep the octave running or bring it in only for a moment — ideal for accented riffs, dramatic entries and psychedelic solos.

Controls

• Volume: output level
• Sustain: amount of fuzz and sustain
• Mellow/Brite: from a softer, rounder tone to a sharper, more cutting fuzz
• On/Off and Momentary/Hold: two footswitches for the effect and the octave

Sound

The pedal covers a wide range of fuzz tones, from mild crunch to heavily saturated, aggressive fuzz, with long sustain and an octave colour that helps solos and riffs cut through the band.

Circuit and Build

The Peach Fuzz is hand-assembled from carefully selected parts: NOS Fairchild 2N3565 transistors, 1N34A germanium diodes, carbon resistors and film capacitors. Gold-plated PCB pads and a red LED indicator complete the design. The velvet-textured peach finish is inspired by the flocked pedals of the 1970s and refers to the album Peaches! by The Black Keys. Each unit is hand-tested in Austin, Texas.
