Warm Audio WA-CV-Mod Guitar Effect

Warm Audio Centavo Mod — Klon-Style Overdrive in a Compact Format

The Warm Audio Centavo Mod is a compact guitar effect pedal based on the legendary Klon Centaur overdrive circuit. It is made for players who want clean boost, gentle breakup or stronger clipping in a format that fits easily on a pedalboard.

Use

The pedal works well with both clean and distorted amps. Use it to lift a solo, to blend clean and driven character, or to hit an overdriven amp harder. Thanks to its high headroom it keeps your playing clear and dynamic.

Controls

• Gain: amount of drive
• Treble: top-end response
• Output: output level
• MOD switch (rear panel): extends the low-frequency response for a fuller reaction of the low strings

Circuit and Components

Carefully selected components bring the Centavo Mod close to the original sound: TL072 op-amps, vintage-style diodes, carbon and metal-film resistors and a charge-pump voltage regulator. The result ranges from clean boost through edge-of-breakup to harder clipping.

Build and Connections

The compact enclosure with top-mounted jacks saves space in your setup. Like all Warm Audio products, each Centavo Mod is hand-tested and inspected by trained technicians in Austin, Texas.
