Walrus Audio Lore MKII Guitar Effect
The Walrus Audio Lore MKII Green is a stereo reverse soundscape generator that pairs five dual-effect algorithms with the brand's proprietary MDSP processing engine. It combines reverse delays, reverse reverbs, and pitch-shifting in series with nested feedback paths, so the wet signal keeps developing instead of repeating. Full MIDI, expression, and 3 onboard presets plus 127 more over MIDI make it a deep ambient workstation in a single pedal.
- Five series DSP algorithms with separate feedback paths for reverse delay, octave reverb, and pitch delay
- Buffered bypass with selectable Trails or No-Trails modes for natural decay
- Three onboard presets plus 127 more over MIDI, with full MIDI CC control on every knob
- True stereo I/O on dual 1/4" jacks, plus 1/8" TRS MIDI In/Thru and USB-C for firmware updates
Stereo Reverse Soundscape Generator for Ambient Exploration
The Walrus Audio Lore MKII Green is a stereo reverse soundscape generator with reverse delay, reverse reverb, and pitch shifting. Five dual-effect algorithms run in series with nested feedback paths. Mode I pairs reverse delay with reverse reverb, Mode II adds octave-up shimmer, Mode III drops an octave down for murky pads, Mode IV runs reverse reverb into forward reverb, and Mode V stacks two pitch delays. Original artwork by Niall Grant.
Five Series Algorithms with Nested Feedback
Each mode stacks two algorithms in series with its own feedback path, so the wet signal keeps developing instead of repeating.
- Mode I: Reverse Delay into Reverse Reverb — interacting feedback paths that re-reverse the signal inside the reverb network
- Mode IV: Reverse Reverb into Forward Reverb — dual harmonic feedback with octave up (Regen) and octave down (Feedback)
MIDI, Expression, and Preset Control
Every knob is exposed over MIDI CC. Three onboard presets plus a Live mode sit on the pedal, and another 127 presets are reachable over MIDI.
- Presets: 3 onboard + 127 over MIDI
- MIDI: 1/8" TRS Type A In and Thru — clock drives delay time 100–1000 ms and Mode IV sample-rate stretch
Hardware, I/O, and Power Requirements
The enclosure measures roughly 100 × 119 × 58 mm including knobs. Stereo I/O runs through dual 1/4" unbalanced jacks. Power is 9 VDC center-negative at 300 mA minimum.
- Dimensions (incl. knobs): 100 × 119 × 58 mm
- I/O: 2 × 1/4" unbalanced input, 2 × 1/4" unbalanced output — true stereo or mono-in/stereo-out
- Power: 9 VDC center-negative, 300 mA minimum
