The Kumihimo braiding process is clear and rhythmic. Secure the bundle of threads into the center hole of the foam mold and place the individual strands into the numbered notches around the rim of the disk. Systematically moving opposing threads according to the pattern creates a solid, evenly braided cord right through the center. You can also weave the included plastic beads into the design to embellish the center of the bracelet or serve as decorative fasteners. With two foam disks included (a round disk for circular cords and a square disk for flat bracelets), children can experiment with different braiding patterns.
