Roland TD-07KV2 Black Electronic Drumkit

Roland TD-07KV2 V-Drums: A Five-Piece Electronic Drum Kit for Growing Drummers

The Roland TD-07KV2 V-Drums is a five-piece electronic drum kit built for beginners, returning players and developing drummers who want authentic V-Drums feel at home. Upgraded dual-mesh snare and tom pads inherited from the V-Drums 3 Series pair with a freestanding KD-10 kick tower and four cymbal pads in a layout that mirrors a traditional acoustic kit. This model delivers responsive mesh-head playability, structured practice tools and quiet performance.

Upgraded V-Drums 3 Series Pads and FD-9 Hi-Hat Controller

What sets this kit apart is its combination of V-Drums 3 Series pad technology with the FD-9 hi-hat controller. The snare and tom pads feature Roland's dual-mesh heads with updated sensor systems and natural rebound that translates directly to acoustic kit skills, and the snare pad supports rimshots and cross-stick playing.

Mesh-Head Pads with V-Drums 3 Series Triggering

Dual-mesh heads provide natural stick rebound, while updated sensor systems capture the nuances of dynamic playing. Larger playing surfaces give drummers more freedom for rudiments, fills and classic drum solos than compact entry-level alternatives.

• Snare Pad: 10" PD-10H dual-mesh pad — supports head, rimshot and cross-stick articulations
• Rack Toms: Two 8" PD-8H dual-mesh pads — responsive surfaces for fills and rhythmic patterns
• Floor Tom: 10" PD-10H dual-mesh pad — larger playing surface for extended fills

Four Cymbals and a Freestanding Kick Tower

A complete cymbal setup expands expressive range, and this configuration includes four pads covering hi-hat, two crashes and ride. The FD-9 hi-hat controller supports open, closed and half-open articulations.

• Hi-Hat: 10" CY-5 cymbal with FD-9 controller pedal — half-open detection for expressive playing
• Crash and Ride Cymbals: 12" CY-8 ride, 12" CY-8 and 10" CY-5 crashes — two crash positions for accents
• Kick Pad: KD-10 freestanding kick tower — supports single and double kick pedals (kick pedal and throne sold separately)

TD-07 Sound Module with Bluetooth, USB and Coaching Tools

The TD-07 module packs 143 instruments, deep editing tools and wireless connectivity into a compact interface. Players can stream music via Bluetooth, and record two-channel audio and MIDI over USB-B. Six coach modes and Roland Drum Pass with 100 free Melodics lessons support structured practice.

• Sounds and Kits: 143 instruments, 25 preset kits, 25 user kits — pad EQ, overhead mic simulator, room ambience, 30 multi-effects
• Bluetooth: Version 4.2 audio and MIDI — wireless streaming from phone, tablet or computer
• USB: USB-B audio/MIDI, 2 in / 2 out, 44.1 / 48 / 96 kHz — acts as a computer audio interface for recording

Beginners, Returning Players and Developing Drummers

The TD-07KV2 is the right choice for beginners, returning players and developing drummers who need responsive mesh-head playability, structured practice tools and quiet performance at home. Its larger pads and four-cymbal configuration provide more room for rudiments, fills and classic drum solos than compact entry-level kits. Acoustic drummers seeking a quiet practice setup will find the dual-mesh heads and KD-10 kick tower translate their existing technique directly.

The Roland V-Drums Legacy

Roland pioneered electronic percussion with the V-Drums platform, and the TD-07 series carries that heritage into the home practice market. This kit inherits its snare and tom pad technology from the V-Drums 3 Series, bringing improved triggering response to a five-piece configuration designed for everyday drummers.
