Jamo C705 MKII Hi-Fi Bookshelf speaker Black Gloss

Compact Active Bookshelf Speaker with Scandinavian Style

The Jamo C705PA MKII Active Bookshelf Speaker delivers high-performance audio in a sleek, compact frame for modern living. This 2-way bass-reflex active monitor pairs a 4" HCCC woofer with a 1" positive dome tweeter, producing punchy bass, articulate mids, and refined highs. Powered by 90 W of Class-D amplification (2 × 45 W), it fills small to medium rooms with dynamic, effortless sound for music, movies, and games. Seven finishes — including High Gloss Black, Yellow, Blue, Green, and muted tones like Matte Grey and White — let the speaker blend into or stand out from any décor. The C705PA MKII is the right choice for listeners who want refined sound without the bulk of separates.

What Makes the C705PA MKII Stand Out

Proprietary Jamo driver technology pairs with a generous input suite rarely found at this size. The HCCC woofer uses a Long Displacement Surround (LDS) for controlled, extended bass from a compact cabinet, while the tweeter benefits from an Anti-Diffraction Waveguide (ADW) and Tweeter Distortion Reduction (TDR) for smooth, fatigue-free highs. A stereo RCA subwoofer output makes 2.1 expansion straightforward.

Driver Technology — Punchy Bass, Refined Highs

The 2-way configuration is engineered to deliver balanced sound from a small enclosure.

• Woofer: 4" (105 mm) Hybrid Composition Conical Cone (HCCC) with Long Displacement Surround (LDS) — controlled bass extension from a compact cabinet
• Tweeter: 1" (25.4 mm) positive dome with Anti-Diffraction WaveGuide (ADW) and TDR technology — clean, fatigue-free high-frequency reproduction
• Crossover Frequency: 2000 Hz — seamless handoff between woofer and tweeter

Amplification and Frequency Response

Built-in Class-D amplification removes the need for a separate amp or receiver, making this a true plug-and-play solution with headroom for near-field desktop listening and small-room playback.

• Amplification Power: 2 × 45 W Class-D (90 W total) — dynamic, effortless playback at typical listening levels
• Frequency Range: 55 Hz – 20 kHz — full-range response covering deep bass fundamentals through airy treble
• Sensitivity: 85 dB (2.83 V @ 1 m) — efficient conversion of amplifier power into acoustic output

Connectivity and Room-Tailored EQ

The C705PA MKII accepts audio from virtually any modern source and lets the listener dial in the sound to match the room.

• Inputs: Bluetooth 5.0 (aptX/aptX HD), HDMI TV ARC, USB-C, Optical, RCA — pairs with TVs, turntables, laptops, gaming consoles, and mobile devices
• 3-Band EQ: Low / Mid / High adjustments — optimises acoustics for room placement and personal taste
• Subwoofer Output: Stereo RCA (20 Hz – 220 Hz) — easy 2.1 expansion with any powered sub

Who the C705PA MKII Is For

The C705PA MKII is the right choice for desktop listeners, casual TV-upgrade shoppers, and gaming enthusiasts who want clean, room-filling sound from a single compact pair without adding an amplifier or receiver. HDMI ARC suits living-room TVs, while USB-C and Bluetooth 5.0 serve laptop and mobile workflows. The 3-band EQ and subwoofer output mean the speaker can grow with the listener — start as a 2.0 desktop system and add a sub later for full 2.1 cinema-style impact. With seven finishes available, this model suits minimalist Scandinavian interiors, bold colourful rooms, and everything in between.
