Four Dimensions of Sound

The heart of Evolve Air lies in its quad-layer engine, where each layer can host either a sample-based instrument from a selection of 250 sources or a synth oscillator. Users can import their own samples to create new sounds or replace existing sources. Sampled sources provide play direction, tone, and keytracking parameters, while synth sources offer oscillator shape sliders and unison detuning options.

Randomization is easy—click the dice on any layer to select a sample at random or roll the dice in the header to randomize the entire plugin, including sound sources, parameters, and effects. The XY Pad allows blending between sound sources in "Sounds Mode" or modulation of parameters in "FX Mode."

Smooth Movement

Modulation is integral to Evolve Air, offering a comprehensive selection of sources with intuitive setup and visual feedback. With 12 modulation sources, including six envelopes, two LFOs, and adjustable Velocity and Keytracking, users can achieve intricate sound design. A full modulation matrix provides a clear overview of all assigned routings, allowing for deeper customization.

Effects for Texture and Character

Evolve Air includes four main macro effects designed to shape its output:

• Mist: Adds grain and texture.
• Drift: Creates slow, floating pitch modulation.
• Frost: Applies a shimmering delay that freezes audio.
• Cloud: Wraps sounds in a long, low-passed reverb.

Each sound source can be routed through dual filters, which can operate in parallel or series, offering a variety of filter curves and controls. Additionally, three rearrangeable effects slots host a choice of 16 high-quality effects, including saturation, feedback, delay, reverb, and more.
