Evolve Air: The Sound of Ambience

Evolve Air is a sample-based synthesizer designed to evoke atmospheric and ethereal soundscapes. It features breathy textures, wind instruments, and spacious atmospheres, allowing you to create everything from airy vocals and soft woodwinds to hollow brass and evolving pads. This instrument blends fragile sonic moments into something intimate yet intangible, floating at the edge of the ethereal.

With over 250 presets filled with longing, including distant vocal phrases, ghostly pads, foggy melodic motifs, and vast cinematic spaces, Evolve Air provides an emotional palette that feels both weightless and alive. Whether you're composing ambient music, scoring for film, producing leftfield electronica, or designing immersive soundscapes, Evolve Air adds depth, movement, and atmosphere to your projects.

Inspired by innovative artists such as Tim Hecker, Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno, and Oneohtrix Point Never, Evolve Air is crafted to give any track an immediate sense of space and emotion.

Four Dimensions of Sound

The heart of Evolve Air lies in its quad-layer engine. Each layer can host either a sample-based instrument from a selection of 250 sources or a synth oscillator. You can even import your own samples to start a new sound or replace any existing patch source.

Sampled sources offer play direction, tone, and keytracking parameters, while synth sources provide an oscillator shape slider and unison detuning. Control pitch, fine-tuning, velocity sensitivity, panning, and volume for any sound. The randomization feature allows you to choose a sample at random or randomize the entire plugin, including sound sources, parameters, and effects.

Smooth Movement and Modulation

Modulation is integral to Evolve Air, offering a wide range of sources with intuitive setup and responsive visual feedback. With 12 modulation sources, including six envelopes, two LFOs, and adjustable velocity and keytracking curves, you can achieve intricate sound designs. An advanced modulation matrix provides a clear overview of all assigned routings, allowing for deeper customization.

Effects for Texture and Character

Evolve Air features four main macro effects designed to enhance your sound:

• Mist: Introduces grain and texture.
• Drift: Creates slow, floating pitch modulation.
• Frost: Applies a shimmering delay that freezes audio in time.
• Cloud: Wraps sounds in a long, low-passed reverb for an ethereal quality.

Each sound source can be routed through dual filters, which can operate in parallel or series, offering various filter curves and controls for cutoff, resonance, drive, and mix. Additionally, three rearrangeable effects slots host a selection of 16 high-quality effects, including saturation, delay, reverb, and more.
