Denver KCA-1351BU Blue Compact Camera

Compact Kids Camera with Flip Lens and Full HD Video

The Denver KCA-1351BU is a digital kids camera built to introduce young users to photography through a friendly, durable design. A flip-up lens on the front makes it easy to frame selfies, while the 2-inch LCD screen on the back previews shots in real time. This model captures photos at up to 40 megapixels (interpolated) and records video at 1920x1080 Full HD, giving kids a real camera experience rather than a toy imitation. Built-in creative tools and games turn every outing into a chance to experiment with framing, color, and storytelling.

What Makes This Model Stand Out

Unlike many entry-level kids cameras, this model pairs a flip lens for selfies with a 2-inch LCD preview screen, so children can compose and review shots without guessing. The 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor is upscaled through interpolation to 40 MP photos and Full HD video, while 15 cartoon frames, 10 photo effects, and 7 color filters add playful customization. Five built-in mini-games keep the device entertaining even without a memory card, and the 600 mAh lithium-ion battery recharges through the included USB-A to USB-C cable.

Imaging Performance — Sensor, Resolution, and Zoom

The imaging chain starts with a 1.3 megapixel native CMOS sensor and uses interpolation to deliver the headline photo and video numbers. For stills, the camera outputs up to 40 megapixels (interpolated), and for video it records at 1920x1080 pixels (interpolated Full HD). A 4x zoom function lets young photographers get closer to their subject without moving.

• Native Sensor: 1.3 MP CMOS — the true capture resolution before upscaling
• Photo Resolution: up to 40 MP (interpolated) — large, shareable prints and screen-friendly images
• Video Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (interpolated Full HD) — smooth playback on TVs and tablets
• Zoom: 4x — closer framing for distant subjects

Display, Flip Lens, and Creative Filters

A 2-inch TFT LCD screen on the back of the camera lets kids review photos and navigate menus without removing the device from their hands. The flip lens on the front rotates upward so children can frame selfies against the rear screen. To personalize every shot, the camera ships with 15 cartoon frames, 10 photo effects, and 7 color filters, all selectable directly on the device.

• Display: 2" / 5.08 cm TFT LCD — clear preview and menu navigation
• Flip Lens: front-mounted, rotates upward for selfies — frame yourself against the rear screen
• Cartoon Frames: 15 built-in — playful borders for portraits and snapshots
• Photo Effects: 10 built-in — quick stylistic changes without editing software
• Color Filters: 7 built-in — adjust mood and tone in-camera

Power, Storage, and Connectivity

Photos and videos are stored on a MicroSD card up to 64 GB (not included), and the device also includes a built-in microphone and speaker for video with sound. The camera enters standby automatically after less than 20 minutes of inactivity, drawing only 0.033 W in standby mode.
