D'Addario J5601 4/4M E Violin Strings

Pro-Arte Violin E String — Warm, Mellow Tone for 4/4 Violins

The D'Addario Pro-Arte Violin Single E String brings the celebrated warm, mellow character of the Pro-Arte synthetic core line to a single replacement string for full-size violins. Sized to fit 4/4 scale instruments with a playing length of 328 mm, this medium-tension E string is designed for players seeking a comfortable, relaxed bow response and a warm, dark tonal palette. Because it carries the Pro-Arte design philosophy, it is less sensitive to humidity and temperature changes than traditional gut-core strings, and it breaks in quickly for fast, reliable performance from the first session. The steel core and nickel-plated steel construction deliver a focused, articulate E-string voice that blends smoothly with the other strings in the Pro-Arte set, bringing out the warmth and richness of any instrument it sits on.

Ideal for Pro-Arte Players and Full-Size Violinists

The D'Addario Pro-Arte Violin Single E String is the right choice for violinists who already run the Pro-Arte synthetic core line and need a replacement E that matches the set's warm, mellow character. It suits students, advancing players, and professionals who prefer a medium-tension feel with comfortable left-hand action and a relaxed bow response. The string's reduced sensitivity to humidity and temperature makes it especially practical for performers who travel, play in varying climates, or store their instrument in environments where natural-core strings would drift out of tune. As a single replacement string, it is also a cost-effective way to restore a worn or broken E without replacing the entire set, and the ball-end design ensures straightforward installation on any standard violin tailpiece.
