Who It's For

This single E string is the right choice for educators and students who need to replace just one worn or broken string on a 1/4 size double bass without buying a full set. It suits beginning players working through classical, bluegrass, jazz, and rock repertoire, where balanced tension and a warm tone under the bow help maintain steady progress. School programs and rental fleets benefit from the stranded steel core's resistance to temperature and humidity changes, which keeps the string stable across varied practice and performance environments. Medium tension offers a comfortable feel that encourages maintained interest — a key factor in helping young bassists develop and reach their potential.
