D'Addario NYS017 Single Guitar String

D'Addario NYS017 — Single .017" Plain Steel String for Electric Guitar

The D'Addario NYS017 is a single replacement plain steel string designed for electric guitar, sold on its own so players can swap out one broken or worn string without restrapping the whole instrument. It sits in the NYXL family, where D'Addario reworked their wire drawing process to produce a high carbon steel core that holds tuning more reliably than conventional plain strings. The .017" gauge makes it a natural fit for the G-string slot on a standard electric set, and it also works as a building block for custom gauge combinations. Bright, defined attack and clean intonation are the headline traits, backed by USA manufacturing and the consistency D'Addario is known for across its electric string catalogue.
